Subscription Songha 45th Edition “Bounty” 🌕🌻
Beloved Friend,
The full moon has just passed, and I have just opened wide yet again to a massive change.
In the last 48 hours I moved out of my home and found a safe sanctuary to land.
The Great Mystery kept me on the edge of my seat all the way up until the last day of cleaning and packing out of my home. I had no idea where I would land on the other side of this trust fall. I quite literally did not know where I would sleep on the night of my move.
Sometimes it is like this, God wants us to be all in and commit to the passage no matter what, with no guarantees of comfort or safe passage.
We get to learn to trust the process and hold ourselves in the midst of what comes up, while continually giving it up to the higher power and choosing to orient the mind to faith instead of fear.
I don’t yet know the full picture of how this new chapter is going to shake out for me, but I do know that I was feeling isolated and longing to weave with human community in a more tangible way on the earth.
I am called to the work of re-villaging. It’s no longer the time of the lone wolf. We need to mend our ability to co-exist in tribe.
I am writing this to you from such a place… a beautiful piece of land outside of Sebastopol, CA with a number of other folks cohabitating here who carry a simillar prayer.
There is a seasonal creek, a woodfired sauna outside my music studio, an outdoor tub and star gazing deck as well as temple space where I will be able to hold ceremonial song gatherings every couple months. It seems Spirit answers our prayers after testing us to the core!!
I have no Idea how long I will be able to stay here in the midst of shifting tides, but I am SO grateful to have a safe and beauty surrounded place to rest my bones, work with the spirits, support my client family, and bring through my music in these wild change times.
In honor of all of this, I share with you this month’s song “Bounty”, written while I was moving (came in a dream in the middle of the night last week) BEFORE I had any idea where I would land~ this is a “mid-life-leap” chant of a tune! Recorded (shhhh!) in the sacred garden of Harbin Hot springs:)
